The months flew by, not fast enough.
I should know,
I'v counted down the hours,
The days, the months.
I'v missed you so much,
Its been hard to hold on,
Even with our love so strong,
You know me,
I need something I can touch and see.
I laugh now, as I read that stanza,
Never before us did I stay,
I always left when it was convenient,
Never before was it worth the wait.
And you are worth it,
I assure you,
I can feel it in me; in my heart,
As I stand looking at you in your graduation suit.
Your buttons are polished,
You suit, ironed neat,
Your smile is breathtaking,
As I stair at you, I can feel myself going weak.
